About Me.
Hello! I am Eva, a classically trained singer and biologist. I love to learn and gather knowledge about our beautiful instrument. My passion is nature, folk music, and books, books, and more books:)
From an early age, I sang in choirs and spent all my free time in nature, mostly by the river and swamp. My curiosity for sound and voice, and my love for nature led me to study biology and singing.
When I moved to the Netherlands to study classical voice I came across face yoga. Using my voice a lot and often feeling tension in my throat and jaw, I felt great relief and support for my voice in facial exercises. I incorporated Tao Face Yoga in my daily vocal warm-ups.
Face exercises helped me to relax my tense jaw and other face muscles, get control over my tongue, and also helped me to reduce stiffness in my neck and shoulders. With long-term practice, I got more awareness of my face, lips, and throat.
Besides the positive effect on my singing, I also noticed other benefits.
Facial exercises always bring me energy, focus, and concentration. It helps me with my neck and shoulder stiffness and are good relief for my eyes (I wear glasses). I have a better awareness and connection with my breath and a tool to help myself in emotional situations.
