Services

I am a certificated Tao Face Yoga teacher (by  Savina Atai & Mantak Chia) and I am offering                                                individual Tao face yoga lessons.

Facial exercises are suitable for men and women of all ages.

Because we are working with small muscles, that are often not used much, we need patience and dedication. It can take up to two weeks for the muscle to build up to the point, where it starts to respond to our commands.

Trainings are adjusted to the individual needs, wishes, and abilities.

I teach online or in person in The Hague or close by cities.

- 10 golden rules of how to execute face exercise

5 BASE Tao Face Yoga EXERCISES FOR EACH ELEMENT

                                   

Five, 1 hour long sessions, where we learn five base exercises of Tao Face Yoga.

With these five exercises, we cover and strengthen the muscles of the whole face, neck, and skull from different angles. 

​

For each session you will get written and video instructions of the exercise.

You will learn basic face anatomy and acupressure points on the face. 

Each season we will learn new exercise and repeat the previous ones. By the last session, we will connect face exercise with breath and add the activation of the pelvic floor - this is where the magic happens.

When the funny face exercises become whole-body activation, and we step into the sweet spot between work and relaxation.

Session 1: 

Fundamental lifting (Earth)

​

Ultimate exercise that stops gravitation.

It activates, trains, and stimulates all muscles of the face, neck, and skull. It gives us shine, turns on our vitality, regulates the nervous system, and takes care of five main organs.

​

Session 2: 

Golden grain (Water)

​

In Taoism, mouth corners are an important indicator of our life force. If they are turned up, life force is flowing in our life, but If they are turned down, it means that life force is flowing out of us.

This tiny fibromuscular structure (Modiolus) is located deeply in the circular muscle around our mouth. Fibers from multiple facial muscles converge there, which means our mouth corners hold up a lot of weight and they affect many muscles.

Session 3:

The Castle of Abundance (Wood)

​

With these facial exercises, we are building muscles of the forehead.

It is a system of 4 exercises that tone up the forehead, circular eye muscle, temporal muscle, and occipitalis muscle.

​

What it brings you:

- Pull of the muscle frontalis (forehead muscle)

- Open eyes

- Strengthening circular eye muscles

- Strengthening muscles between eyebrows

- Lifting of lower eyelid and

- Lifting of nasal muscles

- Improve eyesight

The hypothalamus – the endocrine gland in the head, is responsible for communicating with the rest of the body that we are under stress.  It is known that certain eye movements reduce stress levels. Every time we work on circular eye muscles or rotate the eyes, we affect the stress response of the hypothalamus.

 

Session 4: 

Aphrodite (Fire)

​

This exercise is toning “kissing muscle” – a complex of muscles in the lips. It lifts the nasolabial muscles (muscles next to the nose) and the middle part of the face.  

​

Session 5: 

Butterfly (Metal)

​

Exercise for our very thin neck muscle platysma. This muscle goes up almost to the mouth corners. If our face is a flower, the neck is like a stem or the base of our face.

With this exercise, we activate not only all 57 muscles of the face and head but also the 58th muscle – the tongue. We will lift our face, strengthen the neck, and define a jaw-neck line. Exercise will have a positive effect on your voice and thyroid gland. Lumps in the throat from swallowed words, grief, and sadness that are stored in this part, will be addressed. You will get back your voice and your healthy boundaries.

Tao Face Yoga FOR SINGERS and SPEAKERS 

Face exercises are a great way to tone up, stretch, and relax structures connected to the vocal box.

They help to relax tense jaw, facial muscles, neck, and shoulders, which can affect our voice. They bring more awareness of what the face, lips, and throat are doing.
